Omega Boys Club: Alive and Free Redesign

The project was to create a new website as part of a rebranding campaign and upgrade from static HTML to WordPress for a local nonprofit.

This was a 9 month project that started in September 2012 and launched July 2013.

The Omega Boys Club, founded in San Francisco in 1987, works with youth to end violence.  Alive & Free is an Omega Boys Club life-changing program. Young people who have learned the Alive & Free prescription have a new set of life skills to make choices that help them go to college, succeed in life, and give back to their communities

Fenton is a social change communications agency founded in 1982 and with offices in 5 cities.

My role included:  project lead, UX, IxD, project management, front end development and QA.

The Building Efficiency for a Sustainable Tomorrow (BEST) Center promotes state-of-the-art building technician education at publicly-funded 2- and 4-year colleges through the dissemination of curriculum, research and best practices for managing energy efficient commercial buildings. Sponsored by Advanced Technological Education grants from the National Science Foundation.

The main goal of the site is to be a user-friendly robust repository of information and resources related to building technician training, and to share this curriculum with instructors and administrators throughout the US.

Users will login to access curriculum. A WordPress Custom Post Type will be created for entering and displaying Curriculum, and a custom reporting dashboard will be developed to track downloads and produce monthly reports.

NCsoft, is a Korean company that creates multiplayer online role-playing video games. Project Injini, a corporate social responsibility project of NCsoft, creates educational and cognitive training games and applications for the iPad to improve the quality of life and learning experiences of special needs children. An exceptional and innovative project, this site required a PSD to WordPress custom theme (Whiteboard framework). As well as custom menu navigation, HTML 5 video player, and conditional sidebars. We optimized this site for both the iPhone and iPad.
